Host Family

So yesterday I got my host family...FINALLY! I'll be staying with the de Jong-ter Braake family in Wageningen, Gelderland, which is kind of central-Netherlands-ish. I don't have very many details yet, but I hope to get some soon. I do know that the family is also hosting a German girl my age, so that should be interesting. Unfortunately both of my host siblings are out of school, so I will not have a Dutch host sibling to show me around there, but I suppose I'll fend for myself. If you want to know where I'm staying, I've posted a map in this post...Gelderland is the orange province, and Wageningen is about 5 miles west of the little red dot labeled Arnhem. Nice.

So yeah, I'm getting pretty excited. I'm a little bit nervous because my Dutch is not so good, but I think I'll be able to learn it because it's pretty similar to English. I'm also somewhat nervous for getting by in school, dealing with money and the government, etc., but I'm confident that I'll get it all straightened out. ONE WEEK!
